About the Practice
A focused federal tax controversy practice
Tax Resolution DRS is the practice of Eric L. Schacher, MSA, EA, CTRS — an Enrolled Agent and Certified Tax Resolution Specialist representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
Who we work with
Our clients are individuals, self-employed professionals and small businesses facing federal tax balances, unfiled returns, or active IRS collection activity. Many arrive after receiving a notice they do not fully understand, or after years of correspondence that has gone unanswered.
The practice is intentionally narrow. Rather than offering general accounting services, the focus is federal tax controversy and collection representation — the area where procedure, deadlines and documentation determine outcomes.
How we work
Every engagement begins with a free, confidential evaluation. If we take the case, a power of attorney is filed so IRS communication can be routed through our office. From there we confirm the record with transcripts, restore filing compliance, and document the financial picture before recommending a resolution path.
You receive a written explanation of scope and fees before work begins. We do not promise specific IRS outcomes, and we tell clients when a program they have read about is unlikely to fit their facts.
Credentials
